Overview of C3’s work
At C3 Collaborating for Health we live by our name: because we know that only by working across all sectors of society can we tackle the causes of illness and disability.

Collaboration is the solution
C3 Collaborating for Health builds multi-sector Collaboration to catalyse action in the global community, to address non-communicable diseases’ leading risk factors by promoting 3 behaviour changes:
improving what we eat and drink
stopping smoking
increasing physical activity
An overlooked epidemic
Each year, 74% of deaths globally are from just four major non-communicable diseases (NCDs):
cardiovascular disease
cancers
type 2 diabetes
chronic lung disease
Despite this, NCDs are under-reported, under-acknowledged and under-funded.

Our programmes
Bringing together diverse and often unusual partners to encourage behaviour change for NCD prevention is at the core of C3’s work.
Our approach leverages our staff’s expertise at strategy, convening, writing, evaluation and partnership working. Our programmes focus on:
C3’s unique community-engagement programme uses an innovative mobile tool that equips local communities in identifying barriers to good health.
C3 engages health professionals, particularly nurses, in supporting their own health so they can do what they do best – care for others.
We provide services (workplace health, strategy consulting) to industries overlooked by traditional public health approaches.
C3 has worked across the world to change people's lives and prevent noncommunicable disease
We also provide space for partnership building through C3 events, such as our highly regarded International seminar series.
C3’s writing is much in demand and includes preparing reports and précis of meetings, articles and recommendations.
Although based in London, we pride ourselves on being a global NGO with international projects, and often call on our global network of over 3,000 contacts from 85+ countries for advice and to share news and best practice.
